Uncle KiKi & Aunt LoLo

My baby brother is married!  I absolutely can not believe that day actually happened and I could not be more excited or happy with the girl God chose for him!  Lauren is as beautiful inside as she is outside and from the outside looking in- her day was perfect.  She was absolutely beautiful and the ceremony was sweet and fit them perfectly.

When we first began to think that this one might actually be the one for Keegan and then when the words had really started being tossed around (but not by Keegan of course!), we didn't know if Parker would be home when it happened. Even if he was gonna be home, we had no idea how he would be doing emotionally and if he would be able to be a part of the ceremony. When the plans finally started being cemented and we had a date and then eventually knew that Parker would most likely be here- they made sure we all knew they wanted him to be as big a part as the other two and if he couldn't do it all, they wanted him to be involved as much as he could. Of course our family has been very supportive of us in this decision from the very beginning- but Lauren's excitement and desire to have him involved like the others was very special to my momma heart.

The wedding was in Lubbock and the hotel we had reservations at was about a block from the Tech campus and you could see the football field out our window.... we had a pretty excited Ian on our hands! We did stop in post for some lunch....

Friday night, we spent about three hours at the wedding venue for rehearsal and had a great time.  Rehearsal was very quick which allowed alot of time to visit with everyone.  Kendon and I put together a video for Keegan and Lauren that had childhood pictures and pictures of them together.  It was a priviledge for us to get to put it together and we were very happy with the way it turned out.  Rehearsal was the first time Keegan and Lauren saw it- it was fun to watch their reactions when certain pictures came on the screen.

My parents had a brick oven style pizza place cater and it was delicious!  We still had some daylight left so we drove through the Tech campus and of course stopped for a couple of pictures!

Saturday morning was spent with everyone doing different things.  The parents and some others all went to decorate early, the guys went to play golf and the girls had a brunch at the hotel.  My sweet dad kept the kids during the brunch so I could go and he decided he would take them down to the pool for a little while.  Ian and Kinzlee love the water and Parker hasn't quite warmed up to the idea yet.  They decided the pool was a little too cool so they were just gonna get in the hot tub.  Ian jumped right in the middle of the hot tub and Kinzlee jumped right in behind him.  Much to her surprise, she could not touch in that hot tub like she can in YaYa and BBobs hot tub.  BBob jumped in right after her, clothes, shoes, phone, and all!  She has taken swimming lessons and is very comfortable in the water, but not comfortable enough to go without her puddle jumper!  My dad said she was trying real hard to get to the side, she just couldn't go anywhere and Ian was trying to get to her and just couldn't get to her quick enough.  I asked her if it scared her, she just shrugged her shoulders and said yeah.  I asked her if she learned her lesson, she just shrugged her shoulders again with a big grin on her face.

We had to be at the venue at four for pictures.  We started getting ready about 2 and we actually made it there just a few minutes after four- I was pretty proud!  There was lots of last minute decorating and pictures before the wedding started at 6.  Just as quick as it started, it was over and the eating and dancing began.  We got the kids to sit down for a few short minutes, just long enough to get a little bit of fuel in them before they were out on the dance floor.  They stayed on the dance floor (with the exception of a few special and slow songs) until 10 o'clock!  There was absolutely no timidity and they had a blast! Ian got the first dance with Aunt Lauren right after Kiki- he was proud of that!

Keegan's first glance at his bride.

The cutest flower girl EVER! (biased momma-maybe!)

He is ornery most times, but I love this guy!

Gruben, Party of Five!

Love these three

Look at all those blue eyes!

These girls (and Codye) were a life saver.  Kinzlee needed to be in a different place than Ian and Parker before the wedding started. Kendon was seating people, so I needed to be with Parker.  These girls took Kinzlee under their wing and talked her into staying with them without momma.  From seeing all the pictures, it looks like she had a blast while mom was away!

And I can't leave this guy out..... He let my three try to take the place of his three for a couple days. They had a blast rough housing with Clay!

Keegan and Lauren- It was a blessing and priviledge to be a part of your special day.  We pray blessings over your marriage!  Thank you for loving our kids so well- don't ever forget the impact you have! Oh, and cousins soon please!  In Ian's words, "I'm ready for cousins, are ya'll ready?" (talking to Keegan and Lauren)
