Opening day/lockney

Texas Ranger opening day has become a little tradition in our family. While we know it won't always be possible for us to make it every year, we do have plans to make it to as many as possible. With Parker just having come home, we knew it wasn't going to be possible for us all to go as that crowd would be way too much for him so Kendon and Ian got to have a mans day. We had been debating on all of us going and the other three of us spending the afternoon with some friends but we couldn't make the decision because we weren't sure how Parker would do for that long in the car. My brother, Keegan, had a baseball game the Saturday a week before opening day in Lockney so we decided to test out the waters on a little bit shorter trip but still a lengthy one. AND we would get to see Uncle Kiki and Aunt Lauren!  The trip there was uneventful and the kids did great and had fun at the game. The trip home was interesting..... We ended the trip with me crawling to the back and basically hugging Parker in his car seat for him to calm down. I'm sure it being dark and past bed time had a lot to do with it. Needless to say, that trip didn't help with our decision!

Fast forward a week and we finally decide we are all gonna go!  Yes, we might be a little crazy and asking for it just a little bit!  I dropped Kendon and Ian off at the field and would be lying if I didn't tell you there was a bit of sadness as I drove off. Ranger games are such a family event for us and it was sad that we couldn't all do this one!  

Kinzlee, Parker and I headed off to the Tollers!  Our two families started our adoption journeys within a month of each other which created a very special bond between us with lots of ups and downs together and apart. Out of those two journeys came two of the biggest blessings to each of our families. These two boys were prayed for before they were ever identified by each of us and by SO many friends and family that were just as excited for them to join our families as we were. 

We spent some time at the park and then spent some time at their house with the kids playing happily together in the floor. It was such a nice afternoon of reminiscing and visiting. Thank you guys so much for having us there with you in the midst of some VERY busy days for you. We love you and will always treasure your friendship!
