A First Date

For a little over 6 months, Kendon has told Z they were going to go on a date when she turned 4. If you don't know, we left for our first trip to SK the day she turned four. Of course, we celebrated her before we left, but a date hasn't happened yet in all the transition. And in true Z fashion, she has not let her daddy forget that he promised her a date!  This was intensified even more when Ian got to go to opening day with daddy...... 'You are going to opening day, but I am going on a date!'  They decided about a month ago that they were going to see Rio 2 on their date so today was the day!

She got all dressed up in her skirt and off they went.

Although the movie didn't have her attention like Frozen did- they had a great time. Daddy even let her drink all the Dr Pepper she wanted and she ate almost the entire bag of popcorn right before lunch!  Then she even ate a plate of spaghetti, piece of pizza, and plate of cinnamon rolls at CiCis (her choice, of course!).

So very thankful for a daddy who will invest in our kids and show her first how she should be treated. He promised this wouldn't be the last one and you better believe she won't let him forget it!
