Again, we had the amazing privilege of going up to the schools to pray on the Sunday before school started and again, this was more emotional/hard for me than the actual first day of school! Both of the kids teachers 'just happened' to be at the school when we went, so we were able to pray for/with both of them- what a special way to start out the year! Ian is in first grade and has Mrs. Chavez and Kinzlee is in Pre-K with Mrs. Titus.
Finding her spot the night before school during prayer time.
Kinzlee had been very excited about starting school until the night before when she was in bed. She had a little bit of a melt down talking about missing mommy all day..... Mommy might have had a small melt down also. With my night schedule, I get to spend the majority of days with the kids, so all day away from mom for five days seemed like a lot! We talked and maybe cried for a while until finally daddy came in to be a buffer and all was well. That was the last we heard about missing mommy, this girl loves school!
I was pretty curious to see how Parker would do with both of the older kids at school all day since he hasn't ever been the only child in the house..... He might like it better than Z likes school! I think he has eaten up the mommy time a little bit. The transition back to school has been good and pretty easy on everyone- praising the Lord for these small victories!
