San Antonio has also been a place we really enjoy going mainly because of Sea World. We took this trip with Kendon's family and the difference in this year and previous years is we had to take two vehicles! We probably could have squeezed into one but we just didn't feel like it was worth it. We all had fun passes to Sea World, so we could go as many days as we wanted with the same pass. Kendon and I wanted to be at church Sunday, so we left as soon as church was over and had plenty of time to unpack our car at the hotel and head to Sea World for the last Azul show, the late Shamu show, and for Kendon and Chris to go ride a roller coaster no one else would ride. It really worked well for us to make this show the first night as we knew the kids would be too tired to stay on a day we had stayed all day. Shamu is Kinzlee's favorite so we take in all the Shamu we can get. Being another first for Parker, we weren't sure how he would react to everything around him. The first Azul show was pretty crowded so we were in the middle of a bunch of people and it was VERY hot. He wasn't exactly comfortable being in the middle of the people. The rest of the shows that we went to, we just made sure we weren't in the middle of people and he did really good.
Chris and Kendi were able to make it for Sunday and Monday so we decided Monday would be Aquatica day so they could go also. What a different experience than the last time we went, the kids LOVED it! They were so very brave and tried slides/rides they wouldn't try last time. I didn't take my camera and of course our phones stayed in lockers most of the day so we don't have hardly any pictures to speak of! I did take this picture of a VERY tired boy trying to eat after a day in the water.
The next day (Tuesday) was full of Sea World fun!

We had planned on Wednesday morning being a time to do a few extra things including The Alamo. Kinzlee woke up in the middle of the night throwing up and was up the majority of the night so that didn't happen. We woke up (just waiting for everyone else to start throwing up- becuase that's just what siblings do!) and headed on home. In hindsight, we really feel Kinzlee was dehydrated and got too hot becuase no one else ended up sick. She is my child that doesn't enjoy drinking water. Ian and Parker will take big drinks every time I put water in front of them and tell them to drink. She will only take a little sip (if that) just to get me to stop. How embarrasing it was for this momma (and nurse!!) to admit that one of my children was so close to heat exhaustion (self-diagnosing of course!). The ride home was uneventful, she drank gatorade or water the whole way home and we only stopped for the bathroom twice! Ian was very disappointed that we weren't going to The Alamo, we had spent the night before on Google and YouTube learning about The Alamo and he was pretty excited to go! That will definatley be something we have to make it to soon. Even though our trip was cut a tad bit short, we had a great time and of course will go back again to Sea World!
