That quote is from the small child of another adoptive family after the news that we all received Tuesday and no one else could have said it better! I haven't shared specifics of changes because like my last post said, they have never been set in stone and we have been told they could change the very next day. Part of the changes that had been implemented was that adoptive parents would appear in court in South Korea and then wait out a 14 day waiting period for the court decision to be final which would change our 5-7 day trip to a 3-4 week trip. As you can imagine this created a lot of stress over the sudden changes as it would mean a significant amount more money and changes in the way the trip was made all together. That decision was overturned on Tuesday and we are back to the original plan if 5-7 days!!!! Our agency has said and we believe that this only happened because of the prayers that stormed the gates of heaven this week on our behalf- THANK YOU! With this information, we were also told (again!) that they expect to see some significant movement in the next couple of weeks. There are still some specifics that need to be worked out but we are ecstatic for some positive news!
These last couple of weeks have been hard- it has been hard to completely trust in our Lord and trust in His absolute perfect timing. At the same time, it as hard to not trust because every time we turned on the radio or read a quote somewhere or talked to a precious friend (in or out of the adoption process) it was so evident that He was right by our side and has everything under control. I want to be able to remember some of the things that have been put in front of us this week so I am going to list them.....
The first lyrics of a song that I heard the morning after we got this news 'hold on to the promises, hold on to the promises, Jesus is alive, so hold tight, hold on to the promises'. (Sanctus Real- Promises).
The next song I heard was "after all, you are constant..... After all, you are only good..... After all, you are sovereign..... Not for a moment:..... Will you forsake me" (Meredith Andrews- Not for a Moment)
A verse I came across "As fr God, His way is perfect; The word of The Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him" Psalm 18:30
"The Lord will fight for you; you must be quiet" Exodus 14:14
Daniel 10.... Do you know how long he prayed before he got an answer?
Lyrics from another adoptive momma..... "He holds the orphan in His loving arms......This is who You are!...... You are faithful, You are worthy, God..... This is who You are....." (Who You Are- Kristian Stanfill)
There are so many others I know that I didn't write down over that week and a half..... My God is for Me!!!!
We are coming for you Parker...... We are coming in 2013!!!!
