A couple of updates.....

First I will update you on the 'process'. A new step in the process has been implemented this year on the South Korea side which is call 'family court review'. There have been about 3 families that were submitted to family court the first week of January....... And they are still there..... They really couldn't give us a time frame for this new step and it is brand new so the 'pilot' families are finding out the hard way. There was submission of two more families yesterday- so we are optimistic that court approval is very close for the ones that have been there since January. (Clarification: they are not physically there- just their paperwork. Didn't want to give anyone the wrong impression). Hopefully, after the first couple of families get completely through that step it will begin to speed up a little and we will have a better idea of when we might be able to bring Parker home. Right now that is VERY much up in the air.

We have received some fun and encouraging news this last month though! After not receiving any update on Parker for almost three months, we got three updates in the month of January! The first update was just his new measurements and pictures..... But these measurements turned out to be the EXACT same measurements of our friends baby who started the adoption process at the same time as us!! This was very fun for us to figure out and was just a confirmation really for me from The Lord that Parker is ok..... (I stole him the next Sunday during Sunday school and man was that good for this mommas heart...... To be able to physically hold a baby that is the exact same size as mine that is halfway around the world!)

The next update was the precious news that a minor health concern had completely resolved itself!!!

The third update was MORE pictures and a more detailed report of what he is doing. He is walking well with no assistance. He says about four words in Korean. He is 19 pounds, 28 inches long, has 7 teeth and is described as timid, affectionate, good natured, and jealous if another baby sits on his foster mothers lap.
